The journey begins...

Here you are. Here I am. Here we are together. Thanks for visting my blog! I am glad that you've stopped by; it means a lot to me that you're interested in my life and in knowing how God is leading me through this next phase of my journey. I don't know about you but I sometimes have a difficult time in knowing immediately what God's will is for my life. There have been times when He's shown me right up front, very clearly, w/o a doubt where He wants me, what choices I should make, and what my next move should be. More often, however, I don't feel His pull towards something specific and I am left to "figure it out" on my own...or so it seems. I believe that it is during those bends in the road, where I can't see what's around the curve that my faith is tested and strengthened the most. I can't always hear, see, or feel Him at work, but I have learned (sometimes the hard way) that what He wants most from me during those times is for me to "reach out just the same," to take a step towards Him. He wants me to lift up my eyes, my hands, and my heart to Him and trust that He's still in control regardless of whether or not I understand how He's at work. Here in lies the essence of the title of my blog. The chorus of Brooke Fraser's song titled 'Faithful" whispers my prayer and my heart. The chorus reads:

                                           "When I can't feel you
I have learned to reach out just the same.
                                            When I can't hear you
I know you still hear every word I pray.
                                            And I want you more
than I want to live another day.
And as I wait for you
maybe I am made more faithful."

So here I am, living in Germany. I took a step. The story of how I got here will eventually be told throughout this blog. I would be honored if you would come with me to explore this season of my life here in Euorpe. I would appreciate your prayers and comments along the way.

It is fall here now and the hills are scattered with an array of colors.
I love fall.

Updated blog address

So I created a new blog, with a slightly different title. The main reason was because of the layout of the first blog, I couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it to so I started all over! I hope this doesn't confuse anyone! Now that I have internet at home I should be able to begin blogging and filling everyone in on the details of my first week here in Germany!
